Objective: The objective of this certified programme in auditing is to create job opportunities in basic auditing for candidates.

Basic Level

Introduction to Auditing, Auditing Standards, Audit Programmes, Audit Files, and Duties of Audit Assistant, etc.

2.         Fundamentals in Book Keeping                                             8 Credits
Introduction to Book Keeping – definition, objectives, importance, Accounting cycle, journal, ledger, Cash Book, Petty Cash Book & its Maintenance, etc.

  1. Communication       for Audit Assistants                         8 Credits

Introduction of Communication, Types of Communication, Barriers in Communication, Report & Letter Drafting etc.

  1. Basics of Computers                                                                       8 Credits

Introduction of Computers, Generation of Computers, Number System, Computer Languages, Programmes, MS-Office etc.

  1. Principles of Management                                                 8 Credits

Definition of Management, School of Thoughts, Functions of Management, Planning, Staffing, Organizing, Directing, Controlling, etc.


Certified Level

  1. Audit and Assurance Practices                                         8 Credits

Preparations of Auditors Report, Computer Based Auditing, Overviiew of different types of Audit, i.e. Cost Audit, Tax Audit,, Internal Audit  etc.

  1. Business Finance and Accounting                                             8 Credit

Elements of Business Finance, Finance functions, Cost of Capital, Capital structure, etc.

  1. Elements of Costing                                                                        8 Credit

Introduction of Cost Accounting, Elements of Cost, Cost Sheet, Job and Process Costing, Output costing etc.

  1. Elements of Corporate Law                                                           8 Credit

Contract Act, Sales of Goods Act, Negotiable Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Company Law

10.       Basics of  Taxation                                                                    8 Credit
Concept of Taxation, Capital Gains, Income from Salaries, Income from Other Sources, Tax Authorities etc.


At the end of Certified Level each candidate has to undergo practical training of 100 hours of Finance and preparation of Project Report under any organization or a firm.
